Just a simple little script, my first attempt at one, to add an ability to the player HQ that i was surprised isn't included in the vanilla X3TC. I searched around for a script to provide this, but i couldn't find one, please let me know if one already exists!
Why did i go to the trouble of learning to script in x3 and write this? Well i liberated a terran Tyr, but it didn't come with 30x PSP and 16x SSC to arm it, which left me with a problem. So i hunted out another Tyr that was packed with weapons and capped that, but again no weapons with the cap. Now i had two Tyr's and lacked almost 100 weapons for them, not good.
So i had a choice of boarding/destroying every terran capital ship i could find for the next week, or cosying up to the terrans and buying up their product. I went for option B but discovered only one forge in their entire territory, and feeding that resources for 100 weapons would be at least a week again.
Suddenly scripting in an ability the HQ ought to have anyway seemed a more reasonable way to equip my Tyrs, so i present...
Ware Blueprint Manager
Installation info
This addon installs using Plugin Manager Lite. Due to the nature of HQs abilities, times, and costs being set at the moment the HQ is built, this script comes in several flavours, the zip archive you can download here contains four differt versions. Only install one of them!
Unless you have an existing HQ mod installed, then upgrading your HQ should be your first action in-game before blueprinting any wares. I'd recommend the 10% upgrade download if you're unsure which version to select.
1. WBM-2.1-orig10.spk: Ware Blueprint Manager 2.1
This version upgrades your HQ to support ware blueprints and reduces production times to 10% of their original. cost and resources are unchanged.
2. WBM-2.1-orig.spk: Ware Blueprint Manager 2.1 (upgraded default times and costs)
This version upgrades your HQ with ware blueprint support. Production time, cost, and resources are all unchanged.
3.WBM-2.1-tweaked.spk: Ware Blueprint Manager 2.1 (upgraded 10% time, 50% resources)
This version upgrades the HQ to support ware blueprints, reduces production times to 10%, reduces resource requirements to 50%, but keeps costs unchanged.
4. WBM-2.1.spk: Ware Blueprint Manager 2.1 (compatible with other HQ mods)
Use this version if you currently have another player HQ mod installed. If ware blueprints fail to appear in your HQ, see the F.A.Q. on updating the HQ mod. You'll only need to use the in-game Upgrade HQ service when the player HQ mod you're using is ever updated.

X3 TC Visual Enhancement Mod - Graphic Modification of Skies, Nebulae and Planets V1.01 (09/04/2013)

WHY THIS?

Many of you probably remember this mod in Reunion and as modification of backgrounds included in several big mods for TC
I lost my Background Mod's files and stayed not playing this game for long, but I recently found the files in another mod of mine, Continuum, which I gave up but fortunally contained all the graphic modifications.
There is something that always disturbed me in the beautifull graphic of X3: skies and nebulae. Unfortunally still today I didn't find another mod to be used for that so took some time to re-edit my mod: I can't really play X3 with those "boxed texture" skies. So why not make also others enjoy it? Here it is.

WHAT IT DOES

This mod changes ALL the backgrounds of X3 (stars and nabulae).
It also contains modifications to the terran planets (Moon, Earth, Mars) and common planets, that have been graphically enhanced.
With time many other planets will be enhanced.
IN SOME OF THE NEW PLANETS YOU CAN EVEN SEE RIVERS, FIELDS, CITIES...JUST LOOK AT THROUGH THE CLOUDS! Rolling Eyes

I'm playing X3 with Rebalance Mod (http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=304158) that I strongly suggest and support! This is the most similar mod to my now gone Continuum Mod. RVE is perfect for improving the graphics of this mod. I'll add some modifications on top of it, based on the idea of having even faster ships and larger sectors. They are not included in this release.
FOR THE BEST VISUAL EXPERIENCE IT IS BETTER TO USE THE FOV AT 75-80% AND TO REDUCE THE GAMMA TO 100-105

INSTALLATION

Simply decompress the folder into "..EGOSOFT/X3 Terran Conflict/mods" directory. Activate it in the start menu. That's all!

COMPATIBILITY
------------------
The mod should be compatible with all other mods that do not alter/add the backgrounds (skies and nebulae) or the planets. The only issue in this case would be one or the other not showing in the game (depending on wihich one is installed on top), so no problem at all.
The mod should also be 100% compatible with X3 Albion Prelude but I did not test it, so try it at your risk.

ISSUES
---------
This mod is only a graphic overhaul so do not consider it for any issue related to game's malfunctioning.
Some textures are very big so very old GPU could experience some lag on loading a new sector when you enter it. I tested it on an ATI 4850 and it works smoothly so just very old cards can give issues.
